- Take action, educate not only through materials but also learn through experience.
- Having a mentor is a plus, especially when getting started.
- Wraps are great, especially for those whose doesn’t want to deal with rental repairs, insurances, and taxes. It’s a win-win for both the investor and the buyer. The investor gets the money the buyer owns a home.
- Have some reserves for tough times.
- For REI moms and dads, it’s all about commitment and delegation. Build a business that fits around your family and lifestyle.
- Identify your weakness, learn and educate on how to deal with it, and implement what you’ve learned. Having a coach is a huge help to go through the process.
- There is no business if there is no marketing. If marketing isn’t 100% dialed in, time, money, effort, and opportunities will be put on to waste.
- Track and know your numbers.
- Hiring the right people is critical, especially in running multiple businesses. List everything that you do, group similar tasks together, determine your pain point, decide if the seat makes sense to keep the business forward, place the right people in the right seats, provide tools and coach them to succeed.
- Detaching yourself off the business isn’t necessary, especially if you’re enjoying what you’re doing.
- Net is how you retire and build wealth.
- Keep the leads in the system unless it’s proven sold.
- Don’t force a deal. If the numbers don’t work, the numbers don’t work, except for you being well-versed in your market.
- Don’t build (business) at the expense of everything else in your life that might be important to you.
